Biographical files, 1903-1980.

The biographical files is an artificial collection created by SIO Archivist Betty Shor in 1976. The collection contains manuscript and archival material from many different sources filed under the names of individuals who generated, received and/or were the subject of correspondence, memoranda and notes. The collection also includes biographical information and bibliographies on some individuals. The collection includes significant amounts of material by and/or about Winfred Emory Allen, Fred Baker, Wesley Clarence Crandall, Carl Henry Eckart, Richard Howell Fleming, Albert Haldane Gee, Tillie Genter, Peter G. Hale, Jacob Chandler Harper, George Francis McEwen, Erik Gustaf Moberg, Arthur Dehon Raff, Helen Hill Raitt, Philip Rudnick, Edward Willis Scripps, Ellen Browning Scripps and other members of the Scripps Family, Francis Bertody Sumner, Eldon Marion Thorp, Chʻeng-kʻuei Tseng, Victor Vacquier, Julius Wangenheim and Claude Ephraim ZoBell.
